North end is most popular with hard sand for land kiting and a shallow gradient good for all levels. High tides can come right up to the dunes about 2 hours either side of high water. Although SSW is cross-shore it can be gusty since the wind will be coming over the dunes so its best with more S in it.
South end has a steeper beach and softer sand but retains launch space at high tides.
Restriction in place around the visitor centre, please consult the map for details. Beach can get busy with visitors in summer and is also used to exercise horses so please exercise common sense.
