Beadnell has become very popular over the last few years as it covers a large range of wind directions and its shallow shelving beach means there's usually some flat water between the waves.
It can become quite popular in the summer months with beach users and kiters alike, there are often also several dinghies moored up by the harbor, and is also frequented by dive crews, powerboats and jetski's.
Whilst the beach is generally sandy and hazard free, there are a few reefs at low tide and a rocky spit close to the harbor. Over the year the shifting sands quite often uncover some patches of rocks close to the high tide line too.
